Join our regular Sunday Prairie Restoration Workday mornings and help keep Twelve Hills’ prairie healthy. Jobs include pulling introduced species, planting new plants, pulling “weeds” from the butterfly garden, trimming branches, watering new plantings, and so on. We can find an activity to suit your physical needs!
Bring gloves, a hat, PLENTY of water, insect repellant, and any tools such as soil knives, shovels, loppers, clippers, or anything you feel you might need. We have plenty of tools on site as well. We meet every Sunday unless there is rain!
With less than 1% of original Blackland Prairie ecoregion still in tact, the important work of restoring damaged land back to a healthy ecosystem.
