What is the mission of the Twelve Hills Nature Center?

The mission of the Twelve Hills Nature Center is to promote positive interaction between diverse community groups surrounding the nature center by facilitating and encouraging participation in the ecological stewardship of the land for the purposes of education, observation, and recreation.

Where is Twelve Hills located?

Twelve Hills is located at 817 Mary Cliff Rd., in Dallas, TX 75208.  It’s in the North Oak Cliff area of Dallas not far from the Bishop Arts District.

When is Twelve Hills open?

Twelve Hills is open daily, dawn to dusk.

Where should I park?

There is a small lot with a few parking places at the Nature Center.  Street parking is available on Mary Cliff Rd.

Is there an entrance fee?

Access to Twelve Hills is free.

Are there charges for nature walks?

There are no charges for nature walks.

Can I walk my dog at Twelve Hills?

You may walk your dog at Twelve Hills. Please keep your dog on a leash. Please pick up after your dog.

  • No littering.
  • Closed at night.
  • Prevent trail erosion-do not ride bikes through Twelve Hills.
  • Dogs must be on leash and picked up after.

How can people get involved?

People can get involved in a number of ways including: joining a committee, participating in events, donating funds, helping to raise funds, signing up on the e-mail list, volunteering time, donating goods or services, working on one of the programs, recruiting volunteers or just simply coming to visit the Nature Center to enjoy its peace, quiet and beauty.
